Avondale Tudor Collection
Avondale Estates Georgia
The City of Avondale Estates was founded by George Francis Willis in 1924. Willis' plans for the City were inspired by the trip he and his wife, Lottie, had taken to Stratford-upon-Avon, England. He aspired to recreate the majestic Tudor-Revival style architecture found at the birthplace of William Shakespeare.
The City recently completed a wonderful Town Park project spanning 5+ acres for the community. The architects site planning and recommendation included placement of several Tudor inspired birdhouses throughout the pollinator gardens. I was very fortunate to be selected to design and build the birdhouses that have now been installed in this great new park for The City of Avondale Estates. We have installed 20 birdhouses with varying design details throughout the park. The design inspiration came from the many beautiful historic areas in England mostly in the Stratford on Avon area.
The slide spheres below were my inspiration for the various birdhouses you will see in tis collection.
